Cross-Process Change Search

With DCR Portal 7.6.2 we introduce a new feature which enables you to search changes to all exported and imported graphs within a specific period.

The feature makes it easier for business people to analyze and understand the implications of changes to the graphs for a specific period.

The functionality is available for Administrators and can be found as a panel named "Changes" next to "Processes".

When we enter the area it automatically searches for the changes for the last month for the Test environment. You can change the from and to date as well as the environment to match your needs

We display the graphs that have been exported and imported within the selected period. The export must match an environment, e.g. Test, Staging or Prod.

For each graph we display the

  • Title of the graph
  • Id of the graph - if you click on the id the graph are opened in a separate window in DCR Designer
  • The version id of the graph - if you click this id the revision details of the graph are opened in a separate window
  • The Imported date of the graph

Setting import date of a graph

You can set the imported date of a specific graph revision detail window. You find this in the file menu in DCR Designer:

Click Revision Details and a separate window is opened.

This window lists the major and exported versions of the graph. Click the green button "Imported" to select a date.

Notice, you can easily compare the current and a previous version of a graph by selecting two revisions and clicking the Compare button. A Word document with "track changes" will be returned outlining the difference of the two graphs in a easy to understand format. Perfect for business people during a governance process as the differences are outlined in an easy to understand format.
